Background	Gliotoxin is a toxin found in Aspergillus. It has been reported that Gliotoxin inhibits the phagocytosis of macrophages and the immune function of other immune cells. Gliotoxin inhibits inducible NF-κB activity by preventing degradation of IκB, which induces host cell apoptosis.
