Solubility in water (g/L) : 14.11 g/L (25℃). It is very soluble in ethanol and methanol, and poorly soluble in diethyl ether. It is prepared by racemization of acetyl L-phenylalanine under alkaline conditions, hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid to remove the acetyl group, neutralization and refinement.
