| Background | TF-1 cells were established in 1987 by Kitamura· T et al., and were derived from a 35-year-old Japanese male's hepatized bone marrow sample, which had severe hematopenia. TF-1 cell growth is completely dependent on IL-3 or GM-CSF and does not respond to IL-5. A variety of lymphocytes and cytokines play a role in TF-1 cells, such as: IL-1, IL-4, IL-6, IL-9, IL-11, IL-13, CSF, LIFE, NGF. The morphological and cytochemical characteristics of TF-1 cells and the constituent expression of pearl protein genes show that TF-1 cells belong to the Red System. |
