Product introduction
Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) is a colorless transparent fluid that exists in the cerebral ventricle, subarachnoid space, and central canal of the spinal cord. It is produced by the choroid plexus in the cerebral ventricle. It has similar properties to plasma and lymph. It has a certain chemical composition and pressure, which plays an important role in maintaining the relative stability of intracranial pressure. When the central nervous system is damaged, the detection of cerebrospinal fluid becomes an important auxiliary diagnostic method.
The principle of the kit is that the globulin in the cerebrospinal fluid combines with phenol, which can form insoluble protein salt and sink, producing white turbidity or precipitation. The detection method is also called Pandy test, which is mostly used for qualitative examination of protein in human or animal cerebrospinal fluid.
